Summary

Central Rivers AEA and UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital are offering a free, virtual “Stewards of Children®” training series this February for anyone who works with children. Held on Tuesdays from the February 3 to the 17, this evidence-informed program equips participants with practical skills to proactively prevent, recognize and respond to child sexual abuse.

Ensuring the safety and well-being of children is a responsibility we all share. To support this vital mission, Central Rivers AEA is proud to collaborate with UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital to offer the Stewards of Children® training program at no cost to the community. Stewards of Children® is a practical training program that teaches adults how to prevent, recognize, and respond to child sexual abuse.

Key takeaways:

  • Identify Risks: Learn to spot warning signs and debunk common myths.
  • Create Safety: Practical ways to protect kids in person and online.
  • Take Action: Master five steps to intervene and report abuse effectively.

It works: trained adults are significantly better at recognizing and reporting hidden signs of harm.
