One way Central Rivers AEA serves to improve student outcomes is through the development of strong partnerships with families and communities. Our agency offers a variety of services to support the learning and development of students from birth through age 21 including access to digital resources and hearing screenings provided by a licensed audiologist.
When children are not meeting expected milestones, specialized services may be warranted. A team of AEA professionals may work with you and your student to determine the best course of action for learning. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), outlines the legal expectations for services to eligible children and students.
- Early ACCESS: Also known as Part C of the IDEA, outlines expectations for children ages birth-3.
- Early Childhood: A term commonly used to describe services provided to children ages 3-5.
- Special Education: Also known as Part B of the IDEA outlines expectations for children ages 3-21.
