Science of Reading workshop

Designed for educators new to UFLI Foundations, this course equips participants to effectively implement high-quality literacy instruction grounded in the Science of Reading. Rooted in implementation science, educators will master UFLI’s systematic 8-step lesson framework covering phonemic awareness, phonics, word study, decodable text and progress monitoring, while developing a sustainable, collaborative approach to integrating High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) into daily practice.

  • Dates: November 5 (Cedar Falls CRAEA office), December 3 (online via Zoom) and December 15 (Cedar Falls CRAEA office)
  • Register online by October 26
  • 1 licensure renewal credit is available – $150 materials fee (includes UFLI manual, UFLI sound card set and printing costs
