Summary
Join us in Clear Lake (June) or Cedar Falls (August) for CPI training to equip your staff with proven de-escalation skills – with exclusive discounts available for Central Rivers AEA districts.
Central Rivers AEA is committed to helping districts build safer, more supportive learning environments. This summer, we are hosting two Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training sessions in Clear Lake (June 9–11) and Cedar Falls (August 4–6). These sessions provide staff with proven de-escalation skills to handle challenging situations with confidence and care.
Why CPI training? By training your own internal experts, your district can ensure every building uses the same proven safety strategies. Schools using CPI report that 89% of staff feel more confident in their skills, leading to fewer physical incidents and fewer student misconduct cases. Ultimately, when teachers feel safer and better supported, they are more likely to stay in their roles, reducing turnover and improving overall morale.
New certifications require attendance for all three days, while those renewing their certification only need to attend the final day. To support our local schools, Central Rivers AEA districts receive an exclusive 10% discount on new certifications and 5% off renewals. These sessions are a powerful way to reduce classroom incidents and improve staff morale.
Ready to register? Please email Jamie Zarate at jzarate@crisisprevention.com to claim your district’s discount. For any additional questions, contact Kay Schmalen, Director of Professional Learning. For more information on the impact of CPI training in educational settings, visit the CPI website.
