Finalists announced for AEA Chief Administrator position

The Central Rivers AEA Board of Directors have announced their two finalists for the position of Chief Administrator with the agency. Dr. Andy Pattee, currently superintendent of the Cedar Falls Community School District, and Joel Pedersen, currently superintendent of the Cardinal Community School District, were chosen from a field of 18 applicants to be interviewed on Dec. 13  by focus groups of Central Rivers AEA staff, board, and local school administrators. 

“Both candidates bring a diverse and accomplished set of experiences that have the potential to continue the agency’s forward momentum of progress,” said Dr. Debra Rich, board president. “We are grateful to have had an incredible pool of accomplished applicants to choose from which made the decision difficult.”

Following interviews on December 13, the board will make a final selection at a special board meeting on Wednesday, December 14. The name of the successful candidate is expected to be announced immediately following.
