Central Rivers AEA is hosting a Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines (CSTAG) workshop on Monday, December 18, from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, at the Cedar Falls Central Rivers AEA office. Jim Feger, with School Threat Assessment Consultants, LLC, will be presenting to school threat assessment teams on a decision-tree process to resolve threats.

This workshop is designed for school teams to learn to apply a systematic, evidence-based decision making process when faced with a school safety threat. Plan to attend with a team that may include district and/or building administrators, school mental health personnel, and any other appropriate school staff, such as a school nurse or at-risk personnel. You are encouraged to bring a community law enforcement partner who would be serving on your team when making decisions about a threat. Community law enforcement partners do not need to sign up or pay the registration fee.

Educators, register today! Contact Jody Albertson or Brena Huber, Regional Administrators, for more information.
