MTSS for Social-Emotional and Behavioral Health Summit to be held on November 2

Summary

Central Rivers AEA is hosting the 2nd Annual MTSS for Social-Emotional and Behavioral Health Summit on Thursday, November 2, from 9:00-3:00 in Cedar Falls. Dr. Tina H. Boogren will be presenting to administrators, teacher leaders, school counselors, and teachers on “Motivating and Inspiring Students Through Educator Wellness”.

Join us for the 2nd Annual MTSS for Social-Emotional and Behavioral Health Summit at Central Rivers AEA. We are excited to host Dr. Tina H. Boogren as our keynote speaker. Dr. Boogren’s interactive session, “Motivating and Inspiring Students Through Educator Wellness” will outline the six levels of Maslow’s hierarchy that educators can use to provide engaging instruction to students and to build a foundation for educator wellness. Participants will learn simple daily practices that can have a big impact on educators and students alike.

The summit will also include sessions on topics for supporting students’ social-emotional and behavioral health through a multi-tiered system of supports. Administrators, teacher leaders, school counselors, and teachers are invited to attend and choose from the following breakout sessions:

  • Introduction to Collaborative Problem Solving
  • Using Planners to Support Organization & Time Management
  • Designing Educational Experiences for ALL Learners
  • Behavior Basics
  • Integrating Content and Social-Emotional Learning
  • Promoting Aligned SEL Strategies Across the School Day
