Central Rivers AEA is hosting STAR (Strategies for Teaching based on Autism Research) Training for special education teachers in October. This two-day Comprehensive Training is for special education teachers who serve students with significant intellectual disabilities in grades PK-8.

This is a great opportunity for districts that have access to the STAR curriculum, but need more training for their teachers. Training is provided on evidenced-based strategies that teachers can use regardless if they have a STAR curriculum or not (so there is no need to purchase the curriculum to attend the training). Registration is needed by September 15 to ensure we have enough participants to host this valuable training.

Check out the flyer for more information. Contact Kari Christenson, Special Education Consultant, with questions.
