Meet Danielle Hakeman

Prior to coming to Central Rivers, I was in Waterloo at Lou Henry Elementary. I served as the literacy coach for 4 years and the lead teacher for 3 years at Lou. I’ve also taught in Mediapolis, Oelwein, and Davenport (grades 2, 3, 6, 7, and 8).
I am married to Brett and we have two daughters, Riley (6) and Linley (4). We also have two dogs, Opie and Gunner. We live in La Porte City.
In my free time, I like to read, bike, kayak, and boat. Basically all things outdoors! We love going to Lost Island Waterpark in the summer, too.
I will be serving Region 9 and look forward to meeting and working with everyone there.
